At Pesto, we’re building the AI-native platform powering food and drink manufacturers to grow sustainably and stay resilient - because the future of food matters.
Food and drink is the UK’s largest manufacturing sector - vital, complex, and under immense pressure. Fragmented data, volatile supply chains, and squeezed margins are making it harder than ever for brands and manufacturers to survive, let alone thrive. We’re here to change that.
Our AI-native platform gives manufacturers the tools they need to run smarter, faster, and more sustainably - from margin insights to automation to decision-ready data. But solving hard problems doesn’t mean acting like machines. We’re human-first: we check in with each other, celebrate progress (and birthdays), share food recs, and make space for the life stuff. You’ll find snacks in the office, socials in the diary, and real collaboration in every conversation.
If you’re excited by purpose, pace, and the idea of making the food system more fair and future-proof - come build with us.
We're hiring a UK-based Founding Engineer to join Pesto at an exciting early stage. Reporting to our CTO, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the architecture, product, and look & feel of our AI-native platform. Expect a mix of hands-on building, strategic input, and fast-paced problem-solving. You’ll help shape what we build next - brainstorming new ideas, stress-testing assumptions, and pushing us towards product-market fit. You'll work closely with our existing developer in India and co-founders in the UK to help build a category-defining product that supports the food and drink industry to grow sustainably.
Amish is a rare breed - a technical wizard with a magnetic personality and a very warm heart. If you’re enthusiastic about learning and building, he’s a brilliant boss - he’s supportive and thoughtful at the same time as always pushing to do better. He always has time to listen, and he loves problem solving. Challenges that have the rest of us tearing our hair out don’t phase him, he’s driven to find a solution. His passion is real-world application of technology to make a difference in the world, so he’s probably more involved with Pesto customers than other CTO’s might be. That means if you’re on his team, you’re working with a great technical mind AND getting insight in our customers’ needs and behaviours.
